The Public Information and Public Relations function serves as the primary connection between St. Lucie County Fire District and the community we proudly serve.
Through official public information, media relations, community outreach, and public awareness initiatives, we are committed to providing timely, accurate, and transparent communication while highlighting the people, programs, and services that protect St. Lucie County every day.
The Public Information Officer (PIO) coordinates public information and public relations activities, manages media inquires, supports community engagement efforts, and serves as the District's official spokesperson. During emergency incidents, the PIO provides timely and accurate information tot he public and media while serving as the liaison between incident command and news organizations.
Beyond emergency communications, the Division promotes Fire District programs, initiatives, accomplishments, and public safety messaging through social media, digital communications, community partnerships, and outreach efforts. These initiatives help strengthen public trust, increase awareness, and foster meaningful connections with the residents and visitor of St. Lucie County.
